About
About voltsdaily
voltsdaily is a daily journal of global energy, produced by contributors and journalists with AI-assisted editing and verification.
voltsdaily covers the systems that power the world: electricity markets, energy policy and geopolitics, climate, renewables, grid and storage, oil and gas, generation, and the growing intersection of AI and energy. Coverage is global and published in English.
Two formats
News briefs run 200 to 400 words: what happened, the verified figures, and why it matters, with no padding.
Deep analyses run 1,500 to 3,000 words: context, structure, and consequences for the stories that deserve more than a brief.
How it is made
Contributors and journalists write for voltsdaily, and an AI editorial chain assists them: it monitors specialist energy sources, groups related reports into events, extracts factual claims together with their exact source quotes, and has those claims checked by several independent models. Part of the daily coverage is prepared by that chain under human editorial direction. Everything follows the same route, and a text that fails a check is held rather than published.
Editorial direction is human, and the people who hold it answer for what appears here. What is checked before publication, and where the checks stop, is set out in the editorial standards.
Why it exists
Energy is being rebuilt in real time, faster than any newsroom can verify by hand. voltsdaily earns trust the only way trust is earned: by showing its method, publishing its limits, and correcting in the open. When something is wrong, the corrections policy applies.
Reaching the newsroom
Most of our articles are signed by the voltsdaily newsroom. Some analyses carry the name of the journalist who wrote them. In every case, the newsroom answers for them. Write to it at contact@voltsdaily.com. What that address is for, and where to go next, is on the contact page.
