Korea Gas Corporation Runs Sixth Anti-Corruption Quiz for 250 Staff at Daegu Headquarters
Korea Gas Corporation held the sixth edition of its internal integrity quiz, the Cheongryeom Golden Bell, at its Daegu headquarters on September 2, with management and around 250 employees attending, the company said on September 4.
The format is a three-stage survival quiz. Questions cover the country's main anti-corruption statutes, including the law banning improper solicitation and the law on preventing conflicts of interest. Staff worked through how to respond correctly to situations that can arise in actual work.
An Jung-gil, head of the strategy division at Korea Gas Corporation, opened the event. In the final round, executives themselves set the questions and discussed with employees what integrity means and how to practise it.
"Integrity is not the role of a particular department or officer but a basic value that all employees must practise together," An said. He added that the company would keep working so that integrity settles naturally into its organisational culture and its working methods.
The quiz sits alongside other internal programmes the company describes: company-wide integrity training, an integrity content competition, and the production of card news.
The president of Korea Gas Corporation is Hong Eui-rak.
For counterparties dealing with a state-owned gas buyer, the detail that carries weight is which statutes the exercise names. Both the solicitation ban and the conflict-of-interest rules apply to the conduct of officials and staff, and the company is drilling them through a repeated internal format rather than a one-off notice. The sixth edition marks a recurring calendar item, not a first attempt.
The event was reported by Jeonguk News, in an article by Oh Myung-jin published on September 4, 2026, and by Global News Agency, in an article by Lee Yeo-jin filed from Seoul the same day.
