ORLEN Commits Over PLN 113 Million to Youth Sport, Culture and Science Programs Reaching 1.2 Million
Refiner ORLEN is directing more than PLN 113 million in 2026 to sport, culture and science projects for young people, with over 1.2 million children and teenagers covered by support from the company and its group foundations. The spending sits behind a national campaign, "Z energia dla dzieci i mlodziezy," launched on September 1.
The campaign runs until the end of the month and presents the scale of the company's involvement in the development of the younger generation. Media buying spans television, outdoor and digital, plus press, social media and collaboration with internet creators.
The money moves through more than one channel. Support is delivered directly through projects run by ORLEN and the foundations of the ORLEN group, and indirectly through partner initiatives under sponsorship agreements and donations. The 2026 support is carried by ORLEN, Fundacja ORLEN, Fundacja ORLEN im. I. Lukasiewicza and Fundacja ORLEN dla Pomorza.
Two in-house programs anchor the structure. Sportowy ORLEN and Kulturalny ORLEN let young people develop interests and competences in different parts of Poland, and both are described as an important element of the wider effort. The campaign launch coincides with the start of the school year and with the second editions of both programs entering delivery.
Sylwia Snopkiewicz, executive director for sponsorship at ORLEN, said the people in the advertising spot are real participants in the activities, doing on camera what they do day to day.
The creative concept is handled by the agency Grey, with execution by the agency T&P. The spot was produced by the production house Papaya and directed by Mateusz Miszczynski.
For readers tracking how integrated oil and refining groups deploy discretionary spend outside the asset base, the structure here is worth reading closely: a single-month media burst layered on top of a year-long program budget, with the foundations rather than the corporate entity carrying much of the delivery. The participant count, more than 1.2 million, is the headline metric the company is putting forward, ahead of any output or capacity figure.
The announcement was published on September 1, 2026 by SportMarketing.pl in its Partnerzy section, and reported the same day by Panorama Plock in an article by Agata Majewska.
