Ørsted and Skyborn Renewables completed installation of all 65 turbines at the 704 MW Revolution Wind offshore wind farm in the US. Ørsted said the project was targeting full operations by the end of the year while commissioning continued.

Once fully operational, Revolution Wind is expected to generate enough electricity for the equivalent of more than 350,000 New England homes. Once fully commissioned, the project will provide 400 MW to Rhode Island and 304 MW to Connecticut.

Revolution Wind began delivering electricity to the New England grid in March 2026. It is located in Rhode Island Sound near the completed Vineyard Wind and South Fork Wind projects.

By August 2025, all foundations had been installed, and 45 turbines were in place. Installation was affected by damage to a leg of one of the installation vessels in June 2025, which required five weeks of inspection and repairs. A delay in constructing the onshore substation pushed the expected commercial operation date from 2025 to the second half of 2026.

On 22 August 2025, the US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management issued a stop-work order covering offshore construction at Revolution Wind. Ørsted and Skyborn Renewables challenged the order, and a federal court granted a preliminary injunction on 22 September that allowed affected construction activities to resume.

A second federal stop-work order issued on 22 December 2025 paused construction again, with seven turbines remaining to be installed at the time. On 12 January 2026, the US District Court for the District of Columbia granted a preliminary injunction allowing construction to restart while legal proceedings continued.
