Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) awarded Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) a KWD 117 million, approximately USD 381 million, contract in Kuwait. The contract covers a separation facility at Gathering Centre 25 and a water injection facility at Gathering Centre 30 in Kuwait.

MEIL secured the contract after submitting the lowest bid during KOC's tender process in November 2025. Kuwait's Supreme Purchasing Committee for Kuwait Petroleum Corporation approved the award. The project is part of KOC's upstream infrastructure development programme.

At GC-25, MEIL will develop a three-phase low-pressure wet separation facility with associated gas-handling systems. The main process equipment will include two wet separator packages, each with capacity of 150,000 barrels of liquid a day. GC-25 will also have a low-pressure gas knock-out drum with capacity of 53 million standard cubic feet a day. The facility will incorporate an effluent water treatment and transfer system.

The GC-30 work focuses on treated-water filtration and high-pressure injection infrastructure. The feed pumps will have combined capacity of approximately 500,000 barrels of water a day. Booster and injection pumps will transfer treated effluent water to designated injection wells. The project includes transfer pipelines connecting GC-25, GC-15 and GC-30.

MEIL will modify existing tanks at GC-30 and carry out process and utility tie-ins. Its responsibilities run from design and engineering through performance testing. The contract also includes operation, maintenance, repair and insurance responsibilities for the designated facilities during the applicable operations and maintenance period.
