Sungrow puts PowerHarbor all-in-one residential battery inverter on sale in Benelux

Sungrow has put its PowerHarbor all-in-one battery inverter for residential applications on sale. The product is available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Sungrow is targeting customers affected by the Dutch net-metering phase-out scheduled for January 1, 2027. Andrea Polini, the company's team leader for EU solar and storage, described PowerHarbor as Sungrow's first all-in-one product for the residential segment.

The product integrates an inverter, battery, backup functionality and energy management into a single residential energy storage solution. It was unveiled at Intersolar Europe 2026.

The system supports up to 160% PV-to-battery charging capability, allowing additional solar generation to be stored during periods of high production. It offers a 0.66P discharge rate that enables its stored energy capacity to be discharged in approximately 1.5 hours.

PowerHarbor includes an AI-based energy management system that uses weather forecasts, household consumption patterns and electricity prices to determine when energy should be stored, retained or discharged. The system supports up to 150% three-phase unbalanced output, allowing households to run high-power appliances such as heat pumps, induction cookers and EV chargers even when demand is unevenly distributed across phases.

Battery modules come in 6 kWh, 9 kWh and 10 kWh configurations, with up to 83 combinations possible within a single unit. Each module includes an integrated optimizer, allowing modules of different capacities to be added later without necessarily replacing existing batteries. Sungrow has designed PowerHarbor for both new installations and existing rooftop solar systems.

According to Sungrow, PowerHarbor is already integrated with 28 virtual power plant platforms across Europe. The company is not selling the units directly or offering installations, instead targeting homeowners and installers through the certified trade route.
