Gore Street shareholders reject Saba wind-up push, back all 15 board resolutions

London-listed battery storage vehicle Gore Street Energy Storage Fund defeated two wind-up resolutions filed by activist Saba Capital Management at its annual general meeting, while carrying every one of the 15 resolutions its board had put forward, Kalkine Media reported.

The headline vote, Resolution 16, would have stopped the fund operating as an investment company. It fell 55.97% to 44.03%.

A companion measure, Resolution 17, tied to the first: had Resolution 16 carried, directors would have been forced to bring forward wind-up, liquidation, reorganisation or unitisation plans inside three months. Backing came in at 44.25% against 55.75% opposed.

The board said it had heard the split verdict, singled out the concerns of its largest shareholder, and would keep talking to investors.
