North Carolina regulators reject 250 MW gas plant at Smith Energy Complex
Republican regulators in North Carolina rejected a proposed 250 MW gas project slated for the existing Smith Energy Complex in the south-central part of the state, according to Politico.
The rejection is not permanent, and Duke can refile its application, Politico reported.
The GOP commissioners said any Duke reapplication would need to offer cost-recovery mechanisms that comply with the White House's voluntary agreement, per Politico.
