Study: Most Chinese Cities Have Not Reached Stable Energy Peak

Most Chinese prefecture-level cities have not reached a stable post-peak phase for energy consumption, according to a study that classified only 88 of 336 cities studied as having done so. Researchers reconstructed energy consumption for the 336 cities using satellite nighttime-light data combined with official energy statistics, covering the period from 2000 to 2022. The 88 cities identified amount to roughly one in four of those examined.

In a separate development, the United States has called for more tax incentives and other concessions for US companies seeking to enter Guyana's market, according to Kaieteur News.
