Atomic Canyon Launches NIVA Virtual Assistant for Nuclear Operators

Atomic Canyon has launched NIVA, the Nuclear Industry Virtual Assistant, an artificial intelligence platform built for the commercial nuclear energy sector and developed with EPRI, INPO and NEI, according to Neutron Bytes.

Constellation Energy, operator of the largest nuclear fleet in the United States, is already among the platform's users, Neutron Bytes reported.

The assistant runs on Atomic Canyon's Neutron platform and its FERMI AI models, which were trained on Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Frontier supercomputer to handle technical nuclear language, per the same report.

Funding behind the rollout comes from NVIDIA and Tim Buckley, the former chief executive of Vanguard Group, Neutron Bytes reported. The amounts committed by the new investors were not disclosed.
