Saudi Arabia Weighs Wider IAEA Inspection Powers to Secure Nuclear Deal

Saudi Arabia may grant the UN nuclear watchdog greater inspection powers as it works to win approval for a nuclear deal with the US and blunt criticism that the agreement does too little to limit proliferation risks, Semafor reported.

Saudi officials are in talks on a bilateral arrangement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that would add monitoring and verification obligations, according to Semafor.
