Google backs Stegra's Swedish green-steel plant as AI emissions climb

Google is supporting the construction of a green-steel mill in Sweden, according to Canary Media, as the company contends with rising greenhouse gas emissions tied to its artificial intelligence expansion.

The company said it is partnering with Stegra to help bring the Swedish firm's flagship facility online, Canary Media reported.
