FedEx Orders 2,000 Electric Box Trucks From Harbinger in USD 300 Million Deal

FedEx has ordered 2,000 all-electric box trucks from Harbinger in a deal reportedly worth more than USD 300 million, according to Electrek.

Harbinger estimates each electric Class 5 and 6 medium-duty box truck will cut FedEx fuel costs by around USD 20,000 a year compared with the diesel vehicle it replaces. The company says the trucks are built for a functional service life of 20 years.

Across the full order over that service life, projected fuel savings reach USD 800 million, which Electrek frames as a return on investment of about 166%. That estimate sets the reported deal value of more than USD 300 million against the lifetime diesel savings.
