US Diesel Hits Record $6.31 a Gallon, Squeezing Truckers and Lifting Rail Freight
US diesel prices hit an all-time high of about USD 6.31 per gallon on Wednesday, according to CNBC.
The record is squeezing trucking companies and pushing more freight onto railroads, Sourcing Journal reported.
J.B. Hunt expects third-quarter earnings to fall 5% to 10% sequentially on elevated costs, chief financial officer Brad Delco said at Morgan Stanley's annual Laguna Conference late Tuesday, per Sourcing Journal.
