BMW Survey: Most US Adults Say 75 Miles of EV Range Covers Their Day

A BMW Group survey found that 73% of US adults consider 25 to 75 miles of EV range sufficient for their daily routine, according to Electrek.

The reported daily needs sit well below the range buyers say they want before purchasing. According to Electrek, 42% of Americans want at least 300 miles of range before considering an EV, and 18% want 400 miles or more.

Big Village conducted the online survey among 1,005 US adults from September 11 to 13, 2026, and weighted the results to represent the US adult population, according to Electrek.
