Reinert Logistics orders 500 LNG-powered Volvo FH Aero trucks

German logistics company Reinert Logistics has placed an order for 500 gas-powered Volvo FH Aero trucks, the largest order Volvo Trucks has recorded for its LNG-powered range, according to Sustainable Truck & Van.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027, per trans.info.

The expansion follows Reinert's operation of an initial fleet of 50 Volvo gas-powered trucks. Sustainable Truck & Van reported that the company cited day-to-day operating results and fuel prices among the factors behind the decision to scale up.

JUNA announced the deployment of its 110th battery-electric truck, Electrek reported.

The company's Scania fleet has traveled more than 3.9 million emissions-free kilometers, or approximately 2.5 million miles, according to Electrek.

JUNA routes include international transport across Germany, Italy, Poland and the Netherlands, Electrek reported.

JUNA plans to add as many as 40 electric semi trucks before the end of the year, according to Electrek.

Gujarat deploys 30 electric buses in Gandhinagar

Gujarat has deployed 30 electric buses for public transport in Gandhinagar, its state capital in western India, electrive reported.

According to electrive, Gujarat procured the buses through India's PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme, launched by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs in 2023.

The outlet said the deployment is Gandhinagar's second phase under the scheme, following 40 buses commissioned in the first phase in June and bringing the total to 70.

The 30 new vehicles are Ecolife e9 nine-metre electric buses supplied by JBM Buses, according to electrive.
